Positive Behavior Support (PBS) gives people a new way to think about behavior. PBS is based on understanding why problem behaviors occur – the behavior’s function. At Sunray Elementary, this approach to behavior occurs on a school-wide level as well as within each classroom. The PBS program uses evidence-based strategies and systems to assist schools in increasing academic performance and safety while decreasing problem behavior.
