Your child’s attendance is critical to their success in school. Students who are in attendance all day, every day have access to high quality instruction, multiple opportunities to practice new learning and receive immediate feedback from teachers about their learning.
Critical instruction is delivered from the beginning of the day until dismissal. Should it be necessary for your child to be absent, please submit excuse notes through your Parent Portal stating the date and reason for the absence.
Whenever possible, please schedule student appointments before or after school. Students arriving after the start of the instructional day at 9:40 am, are required to be walked to the front office by a parent. Student supervision is not provided in front of the school during instructional hours. Early dismissals must be completed by 2:50 pm.
In addition to absences, late arrivals and early dismissals are monitored by our school social worker. Students are considered to have excessive absences if they miss five (5) days in one month or ten (10) days in one semester. Absences beyond this threshold may require a doctor’s note.
